Under certain circumstances, direct booking is an option for friends and family of Packwood A-Frame. Please reach out to Jennifer if this is something you are interested in discussing.

Our house rules are available here. These are subject to change. Some seem obvious but previous experiences have warranted us needing to spell some things out.

With adequate notice we may be able to sleep seven with one person being on a cot. However, to ensure everyone's comfort and to not add additional stress on our septic system, we prefer to keep guest count at six and below. Our septic system is another reason we do not allow parties, events, or unregistered guests.

Our neighborhood is a mixed community of vacation homes and full time residents, providing an eclectic mix of home types and people. Neighboring cabins and homes are visible from all parts of our property, though often times you will not see the neighbors. The neighborhood is safe with no known crime or criminal activity.

If you are looking for an “off-grid” or secluded experience, you may prefer a different cabin. 

Packwood itself is a charming mountain town located in the picturesque Cascade Range of Washington State. Known for its stunning natural beauty, outdoor recreation, and resident elk, the area offers endless opportunities for adventure. From hiking and mountain biking in the summer to skiing and snowboarding in the winter, there's something for everyone to enjoy. 

No. My husband and I designed and built this house from scratch to meet all our specifications. 

We do not share or sell our plans. You are welcome to book a stay and bring a tape measure though! :)

We don't like sharing numbers because there are so many variables. The lumber market is always shifting, labor costs are all over the place, location plays a huge role, and it depends on how much work you are willing to do yourself. We saved a lot of money by doing all our own finishes, managing our own material packages, and getting multiple bids on everything.
